Overview

About Lahaul Spiti Valley Tour Package

Visit the spectacular and untrodden Lahaul Valley!
Lahaul Valley is a splendid combination of unbelievable natural scenic views and beauty interspersed with fascinating Buddhist culture and art. The word Lahaul means the "Country of Gods" and rightly so since it is marked by high mountains, massive glaciers, rivers, and high passes.

The land is a quaint settlement guarded by snow-topped mountains that stop the advance of monsoon rains from the south but the northerly winds pound the region with heavy snow in winters.

The landscape changes from verdant valleys and forested hillsides to a sandy terrain dotted with miniature villages of flat-roofed houses precariously hanging along rocky hillsides as you move deeper into the highland, leaving the traveler in awe of the raw beauty scattered around.

About Atal Tunnel Rohtang

After the formation of the Atal Tunnel, tourism in the Lahaul Valley of Himachal Pradesh has become very easy. Know, information about Atal Tunnel -

Atal Tunnel is a highway tunnel, also known as Rohtang tunnel. It is built under the Rohtang Pass in the eastern Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas on the Leh Manali Highway in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India.

The length of the Atal Tunnel is 9.02 km, it is the longest tunnel in the world to be built at the top, with a height of 10,000 feet (3,048 meters). The tunnel is named after former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee "Atal Tunnel.

The construction of this tunnel has reduced the time taken between Manali and Keylong to travel. Earlier this route would pass through Gramphu Was, which was 116 km long, it would have taken at least 5 to 6 hours even if all the conditions were good.

But at present to reach the south portal of the tunnel from Manali, it takes about 50 minutes. The route passes through a 9.02 km long tunnel and reaches Keylong, which is 37 km from the tunnel, which takes another 60 minutes further. This tunnel has proven to be a boon to the Lahaul Valley tourism
