Our huskies are ready to run! Join them for an arctic dog sledding experience in the wilderness, surrounded by snow-covered landscapes and frozen fjords. This tour includes transfer to/from.



We start dogsledding already on October 20th, with snow saved from last winter season. On this tour, you are driven by our dogmusher – 2 people per sled. Our driver will pick you up at your hotel in Kirkenes, and take you on a 15-minute ride to the Snowhotel Kirkenes camp outside Kirkenes. The tour is approximately 6 km and goes along the fjord and through classic arctic, lightly forested wilderness.

OPTION 1. A TASTE PF VESTERALEN

The tour bus waits at the quay and takes you through Harstad to Trondenes Church for a guided tour and tourist devotions. Visit to Trondenes Historical Centre and the medieval farm with actors and live animals. Onwards by bus with photo stops and a stop for waffles, local "lefse" (traditional soft Norwegian flatbread) and tea/coffee. Then you board the Havila Voyages ship in Sortland.

Visit a fish farm, and see salmon swimming around in the cold, clear water.

The Norwegian coast with plenty of space and clean waters are perfect growing conditions for salmon. Large, round cages, in which salmon of all sizes swim, are found in the fjords and out on the coast.

Underwater cameras and control rooms with many screens help to ensure that the salmon are well looked after. You can take part in feeding the salmon, learn about modern aquaculture and, of course, taste this Norwegian delicacy.

Come along on a visit to Torghatten; the mythical mountain with a hole in the middle, and let your imagination run wild!

A local guide will meet you at the quay and join you on the bus to the foot of the mountain. From there, you will walk to the best viewpoint of the area, before taking a small detour to have a closer look on Torghatten’s geology. Finally, the whole group gathers at the bus, where you will be offered local snacks; gløgg and lefse. Wear good, waterproof shoes. A headlight, poles, and shoe spikes will be provided.

Enjoy the view of Bergen and its surrounding landscapes as you take the cable car to the top of Mount Ulriken, the highest mountain surrounding Bergen, where you will be served the famous Bergen fish soup and a local twist on the cinnamon bun.
