WINTER CRUISE TO THE WORLD HERITAGE AREA OF GEIRANGER

(1 February.-31 May)- Short walk with guide to the boat that takes you on a fjord cruise to Geiranger. Three hours fjord cruise, 2.5 hours in Geiranger and three hours journey back to the coastal cruise ship in Ålesund. Warm lunch on the way to Geiranger, hot drink and snack on the way back. Bus in Geiranger, walk along the waterfall for those who would like to. Wear warm clothes and good shoes.

ART NOUVEAU WALK

One stormy winter night in 1904, a fire raged through Ålesund. By morning, 850 houses were in ruins and more than 10,000 people were homeless. In the course of a record-breaking three years, the town rose from the ashes. This is how Ålesund became an art nouveau city with a rare architectural expression.

HISTORICAL CITY WALK IN TRONDHEIM

You can experience the highlights of Trondheim in just a few hours in the morning. A five-kilometre walk takes you through 1,000 years of history, from a mediaeval city and pilgrimage destination to a technological capital.

An approximately five-kilometre walk. The excursion is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with mobility problems. The visit to Nidaros Cathedral lasts for 30–45 minutes.

TROMSØ “CAPITAL OF THE ARCTIC” (Season: All year round)

which is also called the "Paris of the North", is a lively city with a majestic landscape in its backyard and a dramatic polar history. Take a tour into and up to the very top of the city. A guided bus tour. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes that keep you warm at the view point at the top of the mountain lift. Many polar expeditions and fishing boats have set out from this city. The excursion continues to the top—421 metres above sea level—with the Fjellheisen cable car where there are spectacular views of Tromsø and the surrounding islands, mountains and fjords. You can go for a short walk on the mountain or visit the restaurant at the top. Before returning to the Havila Voyages ship, we stop at Ishavskatedralen (the Arctic Cathedral). The architecture of this landmark reflects the Arctic.

Join a sleigh ride, take part in feeding the reindeer and visit the Sami in a gamme hut. The guides meet you at the quay and accompany you to the bus for about a 25-minute drive. Photographs and feeding the reindeer. Reindeer sledding - We recommend comfortable shoes and warm clothes. Winter overalls can be borrowed on-site. The Sami are the indigenous people of the North. They have their own language, their own culture, and their own "country" which you won't find on any traditional map, but which extends from Norway, through Sweden, and into Finland and Russia.

Our huskies are ready to run! Join them for an arctic dog sledding experience in the wilderness, surrounded by snow-covered landscapes and frozen fjords. This tour includes transfer to/from.



We start dogsledding already on October 20th, with snow saved from last winter season. On this tour, you are driven by our dogmusher – 2 people per sled. Our driver will pick you up at your hotel in Kirkenes, and take you on a 15-minute ride to the Snowhotel Kirkenes camp outside Kirkenes. The tour is approximately 6 km and goes along the fjord and through classic arctic, lightly forested wilderness.
