About Jammu and Kashmir Tour Package

Kashmir Valley enjoys a unique combination of forests, meadows, lakes, and mountains. The valley is surrounded by majestic peaks on all sides. The state is located in the Pir-Panjal Mountains in the Himalayas.

The peaks of the valley give it a unique charm, making it more beautiful than Switzerland and have important geographical significance in Kashmir. Most of these peaks are still covered by snow throughout the year.

During this trip, you will visit the 3 most scenic places of Kashmir namely Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Sonamarg & Srinagar while exploring and discovering some of the most popular attractions in the Kashmir Valley. On the list, there will be picturesque gardens, charming lakes, charming mountains, historical monuments, and more.

Through a single trip, it will provide you with the best scenery in the valley, and will surely make you fall in love with the charming scenery and vistas of Kashmir.

Best Time (Season) to Visit Kashmir

Winter - Winter set in from November onwards until early March, which gives Kashmir a different mood. Watching the snow-covered landscape from the warmth of the fire is a joy, and it is indescribable for people who have not experienced it. In winter, Gulmarg is the most favorable tourist destination in India and especially Kashmir. Warm woolens are required. It starts to snow from December end till March. Places like Gulmarg and Sonamarg are totally snow bound.

Spring - Spring comes in from March to April, when a million flowers are spread on the ground. During this time, the weather is very pleasant with temperatures running from 15 - 25 degrees celsius.

Summer - Summer lasts from May to the end of August. It is quite warm in the town of Srinagar, but the higher altitude places like Gulmarg and Sonamarg are still chilly. At higher altitudes, the night temperature will drop slightly to 10 degrees also. The daytime temperature in Srinagar at this time is between 30?C and 35?C. At this time, the entire valley is a mosaic of various shades of green-rice fields, grasslands, trees, etc., while Srinagar and its lakes and waterways are paradise after the hot Indian plains.

Autumn - Autumn may be the cutest season in Kashmir. When September comes, the green turns gold and then auburn and red. The maximum daytime temperature in September is about 20?C, the night temperature drops to 10?C, and it drops further from November onwards. The fallen leaves of trees make Srinagar a poetic destination.

Accessibility For Kashmira- This beautiful valley is well linked with the rest of the country via air, road, and train.

How to Reach Kashmir

By Air - The only airport in the Kashmir Valley is Srinagar Airport, now known as Sheikh Ul Alam International Airport, which has flights from major cities in India, such as Mumbai, Bangalore Pune and Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata etc via Delhi. Some of the flights operated by the airport are IndiGo, Air India Goair, Spicejet and Air Vistara. Srinagar airport is about 14 kilometers away from the city center.

By Train - Currently, Srinagar does not have a train station. Srinagar railway station or Nowgam railway station is a railway station of the city of Srinagar in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The station is part of the Jammu?Baramulla line, which once completed, will connect the city to the Rail network of India.

The nearest railway station to Srinagar is Jammu Tawi Railway Station, which is almost 300 kilometers away from Srinagar. There are several trains to Jammu Tawi Railway Station every day from all over India. However there is a local train from banihal to Baramulla but it does not connect Srinagar
