Hiking in Manali, Kasol Himachal Pradesh

Manali is a beautiful township nestled in the picturesque Beas River valley. It is a rustic enclave known for its cool climate and snow-capped mountains, offering respite to tourists escaping scorching heat of the plains.Is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular and impressive valleys of Himachal Pradesh. 

This great Himalayan range appreciates the sheer geographic diversity – from the verdant, forested valleys and the flowered meadows (thatch) carpeted with wildflowers. The great Maharishi Vyas also meditated here and whose journeys reflect the rich cultural history of the region. With mountain adventures beckoning from all directions, Manali is a year-round magnet. 

Manali is a high-altitude Himalayan resort town in India’s northern Himachal Pradesh state. It has a reputation as a backpacking center and honeymoon destination. Set on the Beas River, it’s a gateway for skiing in the Solang Valley and trekking in Parvati Valley. Manali, at the northern end of the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh, is a hill station situated at a height of 2050m (6398 ft) in the Himalayas.

Situated on the Beas river (Vyaas in Hindi) and near its source, it is a popular tourist spot for Indians in summer and a magical, snow-covered place in winter. A staging point for a number of treks and sports such as white-water rafting, Manali is also on the road to Ladakh via the valley of Lahaul and Spiti and the Rohtang Pass which is the main attraction near Manali. 

Solang Valley, which is just 10 kms ahead of Manali offers spectacular experiences for camping, Hiking  and trekking at jagatsukh Peak , while  enjoying the wonderful sight of mountains covered with white snow cover and deodar forests

Kasol is a hamlet in the district Kullu of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated in Parvati Valley, on the banks of the Parvati River, on the way between Bhuntar and Manikaran. It is located 30 km from Bhuntar and 3.5 km from Manikaran. Kasol is the Himalayan hotspot for backpackers and acts as a base for nearby treks to Malana and Kheerganga. It is called Mini Israel of India due to a high percentage of Israeli tourists here.

Drive to Manali / Arrive Manali & Overnight Stay

Early pick up from Delhi in morning around 4 a.m & your escort cum driver will pick you up from Delhi in a private cab, and head towards the Valley Of The Gods Manali. The journey takes almost 13– 14 hrs which crosses through the Plains of Punjab and crosses into Himachal Pradesh where the mountains welcome you with a breath of fresh air. Upon arrival in Manali, check-in to your comfortable pre-booked hotel for a healthy meal and overnight stay.

Vashisht Hot Springs to Jogini Waterfall Walk / Drive up to high altitude

From the nearby village of Vashisht, with its hot springs, we’ll walk to the sacred Jogini waterfall. From here, we’ll continue to Nehru Kund (4kms/ 2Hrs) where our vehicles will take us towards the snowline, which offers sweeping valleys and snow capped mountain views. Walking time: Approx. 2.0 hours Elevation: Starting at 2100m, reaching 2150m and finishing at 2100m (3000m by vehicle) Terrain: An easy start with a gradual ascent for 30-40 minutes to the falls, following a dirt track, followed by a 30 minute, steep (but short) descent to Nehru Kund.

Solang Valley Adventures

Post Breakfast , Wake up to the sweet sound of nature and after breakfast head towards Solang Valley. This valley is famous for its adventure activities and you can try your hand at Paragliding, Zorbing, ATV Rides, Horse-riding, Trail-rides and so much more. Before indulging in these activities make sure to understand all safety protocols and measures. After having the activities, have a trek to Anjani Mahadev temple, trek of around 1.5 KMS. Later, we drove back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Solang Nala derives its name from the combination of words Solang and Nallah. It is a side valley at the top of the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh, India 14 km northwest of the resort town Manali on the way to Rohtang Pass, and is known for its summer and winter sport conditions. Solang Valley lies between Solang village and Beas Kund. It offers a beautiful view of glaciers and snow capped mountains. Since the valley has fine ski slopes, it is a perfect place for skiing. In winter, the valley becomes a skiing paradise. When snow melts in the summer, skiing is replaced by lovely walks, treks, camping, paragliding and zorbing.



Drive to Kullu and transfer to Kasol (40km/ 1:30mins)

After breakfast, drive towards Kullu (40 Kms from Manali) while on the way taking a halt at Vaishno Devi Temple and Pashmina Shawl showrooms. Resume your trip to Manikaran (80 Kms from Manali). Manikaran is a pilgrim site famous for a Gurudwara and temples of Rama, Krishna and Vishnu. A dive into the Hot Spring of Gurudwara and afterwards a tasty Langar will definitely make your day. Evening come back to Kasol for your overnight stay .
Kasol : A small village in Parvati Valley, Himachal Pradesh, near to Kullu. The town has an excellent view from all sides, with perfect scenic beauty. Housed on the banks of Parvati river, the little town has become the top offbeat destination in the country. Surrounded by forests, alpine trees, Kasol is a paradise for adventure and nature lovers. Also known as Mini-Israel

Hike to Chalal Village

After breakfast, we will start the trek to Chalal village, taking one through a dense coniferous forest. After about 2 hours of a comfortably-paced trek, we will reach Chalal village, tucked away deep in the forest. Guarded by pine trees and lovely cafes, this place is known for its produce of hashish. Explore the small town for a while, before heading back to Kasol. Overnight in Kasol



Drive from Kasol to Barshaini/ Day trek to KheerGanga

After early Breakfast we leave from Kasol for Rudranag via Barsheni (7km/ 45mins) in local jeeps. Kheerganga is believed to be where Lord Shiva meditated for thousands of years. The trek to Kheerganga at 9700 feet, can be taken through two routes – Rurdanag and Kalga – Pulga. Both these routes divert from Barshaini. After walking through the dense pine, crossing numerous streams, and soaking in nature’s awesomeness you manage to ascend the path. Rudranag route is exciting and difficult while Kalga route is more flat, without trees, and more cafes, and resting places. Kheer Ganga has a pleasant little hamlet with a small temple of Lord Shiva and more hot springs. Along the way, encounter and enjoy rivers, small bubbling streams, apple orchards, and splendid, sloping greens of the Parvati Valley. Upon reaching the top, you can finally take a dip in the much-awaited hot springs of Kheerganga. Return back to Kasol for overnight

Depart at 4:00 am in the morning for the long drive back to Delhi. The drive will take around 13-14 hours to reach back Delhi

Notice less than 60-46 days:  25% cost will be deducted
Notice less than 45-31 days:  50% cost will be deducted
Notice less than  30 days:    No Refund
