Have you ever seen a land surrounded by tea estates? In this package of 4 days, you can expect hiking and cycling in Kerala crossing tea plantations, hills of Munnar, rubber and spice plantations, and backwaters. 

Thattekkad is a beautiful place to watch bird watching, which is covered while you are hiking in Kerala. Thattekkad Bird Sanctuary is the first bird sanctuary in Kerala, spread over 25 square kilometers.


Best Time to Visit Kerala

The best season for adventure activities such as hiking, cycling, and bird watching is during the winter months of November to February. These days birds from the Himalayas and other parts of the world arrive here. This time is best for traveling to Kerala with a mild climate.

Itinerary

Arrival Ai Kochi
Kochi / Cochin

Arrival at the historic city of Fort Kochi. Transfer & check in at the hotel. You are at leisure the rest of the day to see this remarkable city with its ancient churches, the synagogue, the museums, and the Chinese fishing nets. In the evening you will watch a Kathakali performance, a centuries-old classical dance form that is peculiar to Kerala. Overnight at the hotel.

Thattekkad
Thattekkad

Early in the morning we will make our way to the lowland forests of Thattekkad, set on the banks of the Periyar River. The journey will take you through the spice gardens that have made Kerala famous all over the globe. On arrival you will be staying at the luxury tented Camp on the riverside. The jungle camp is the perfect setting for an evening of relaxation as you listen to the sounds of the forest. You can also take a walk through the local village to see how the farming community lives amidst their plantations of rubber, coconuts & various spices like pepper and ginger. The villages are friendly places and you will be welcomed in their midst.

Today you go on an early morning hike to Nadukani Peak. The trail passes through plantations & villages. Witness the amazing view of Rain Forest from the peak. Evening, you will also get an opportunity to go on the kayaks for a journey through the rain forests on the opposite side of the river. If you are lucky, there are chances of sighting the Malabar Giant Squirrel & many of the 275 species of birds that congregate here. The lush rainforest also harbours endemic birds like the brilliantly colorful Malabar Parakeets & the Malabar Trogons.

Transfer to Kochi airport for departure.

Cancellation Policy
The package price will be deducted as per the following conditions strictly. No refund will be entertained without receiving a cancellation request effective from the date of receipt of the letter. 

Notice less than 60-46 days:  25% cost will be deducted
Notice less than 45-31 days:  50% cost will be deducted
Notice less than  30 days:    No Refund

Note: No refund will be given to people who are unable to complete the trip or abandon it due to any reasons.

  1. The digital copy of the Indemnity form duly filled, signed and emailed to the company along with the booking amount. 
  2. It will be deemed that the booking & payment policy is accepted by the clients while making the bookings with the first deposit amount. 
  3. If the client is forced to cancel the booking prior to departure, the cancellation policy will be followed.
  4. In case of any delay beyond our control, the client will have to bear extra cost for the extra days as per the option chosen on a per day basis.
  5. Please  note  and  be  well  informed  that  there  will  be  no  refund  of  money  after the package commences and if one cannot complete activity or gets sick enroute. 
  6. The cost is for the entire package and there would be no refunds in case any part of the package is not availed
  7. It is in the nature of a holiday of this kind to be flexible. The day-to-day agenda and ultimate goal of the tour is taken as an aim and not as a contractual obligation. We shall not be responsible for the delays or alterations in the program or expenses incurred due to conflict, international or internal flight delay or cancellations, strikes, sickness, weather, war, vehicle problems, political closures and disputes.
  8. The  booking  is  accepted  on  the  understanding  that  you  realize  the  potential  risks  and hazards that can be involved in holidays of this kind. The organiser along with our leaders/guides and anyone else working in association with us cannot be held responsible for any death, accident or mishap that may occur in connection with any part of, or services connected with the holiday. 
  9. Before the guests come on a holiday, they must be covered by insurance, which has to include the cost of helicopter rescue, evacuation and cost of repatriation if they become too ill to continue. It is recommended that the travel insurance should cover adventure activities undertaken. We can help you incase required
  10. The Company would not be liable to pay any kind of compensation arising because of any mishap, sickness, accident etc.

Reservations booking requires a guest name. There are no options allowed to hold without names.


Accommodation requires a deposit - please refer to the due date mentioned on the booking confirmation.

Final Payment

75% balance payments 45 days prior to departure
